Home Networking

Just what is a home network, and why should you have one? If you only have one desktop PC at home, well, then you probably don’t need one. But more and more homes (and this also applies to home-based businesses, and to small offices as well) now have more than one PC. Households with children have discovered the benefits of having a separate PC for the kids for homework and games, which frees up the adults’ computer for more serious things like the finances, shopping, news, and, well, games too!

Homes, home-based business, and small office computers can easily be networked together. Here are some of the benefits:

· Sharing an internet connection / Convenience

· Work where you want (really just more convenience!)

· Share printers (and some other devices, like scanners) / Share files

· Backup important documents, files, and pictures / Security
